What a day! Today I had the absolute joy of marr What a day! Today I had the absolute joy of marrying Roberto and Jennifer at the breathtaking Rippon Lea Estate and what a ceremony it was! The heavens opened, thunder rolled, and I’m convinced it was their dads up there singing their congratulations! These two first met when Jennifer joined a dinner Roberto was attending with his brother and for Roberto, it was love at first sight. Fast forward a few years later, he proposed in Italy, right outside the church where his parents were married, the perfect full-circle moment. I first met Paige when I had the honour of officiating her grandfather’s funeral. A year later, I got to stand beside her again… this time, as she married her best friend. Caillin and Paige are such a grounded, kind, and values-driven couple. Their wedding at the stunning Melbourne Town Hall had it all, laughter, emotion, and even a perfectly timed pause as the sirens blared through the city just as I was talking about how Paige had always thought Caillin was so cute! Kate & David The Barn, Stones of the Yarra Valley Kate & David The Barn, Stones of the Yarra Valley @katelouisegeorge Some love stories begin quietly, others with a spark and theirs started with a little glamour, a little gossip, and a day at the races. Kate and David met at the Cairns Amateurs, in the Birdcage no less. She’d heard the whispers “David’s a good guy, you’d really like him” and when he walked in, tall, dark and charming. From that moment, everything fell into place. They laughed, travelled, shared great food and better stories, built a home full of warmth (and dogs, Frankie and Ellie), and became each other’s favourite person to come home to. Fast forward to Christmas Eve in Austria, David, ring in pocket, heart racing, trying not to propose on a black run. Let’s just say there were snowboards, a few cigarettes, and a lot of laughter when he finally got down on one knee. She said yes and they’ve been laughing about it ever since. Their wedding at The Barn, Stones of the Yarra Valley was everything they love: good wine, great food, laughter, and their favourite people from near and far. It was a celebration of their story beautifully imperfect, endlessly entertaining, and completely theirs. Congratulations Kate and David!
